In my work as a positive psychology coach, and also in Flourish Financially, we’ve seen it happen more times than I can count: the moment when something clicks. A woman takes a deep breath, looks at her numbers, and for the first time sees not just a financial statement, but a roadmap she can own.
That moment is rarely about the numbers alone. It’s about the subtle but profound alignment between clarity of mind and clarity of money – the very reason we created our Wealth & Mindset Academy for Women, the signature Flourish Financially programme.
In our first cohort, two extraordinary women, both accomplished, intelligent, and deeply committed to growth, came into the programme from very different life paths. Their careers spanned industries as diverse as financial technology and global healthcare. Their early money memories were worlds apart, shaped by different continents, cultures, and family legacies. And yet, what happened for them inside the programme had striking parallels.
Both began with curiosity but also a sense of weight. One carried a long-standing habit of putting others first, often at the expense of her own financial security. The other had built a strong foundation but sensed hidden complexity: multiple accounts, scattered investments, layers of risk that needed to be untangled.
For one, the first breakthrough came in realising that avoiding financial planning out of fear only deepened the uncertainty, and that facing the numbers brought unexpected relief. For the other, it was recognising that her already solid strategy could be sharpened further: consolidating systems, reassessing products, and deliberately aligning each decision with a long-term vision.
In both cases, it was the combination of practical financial coaching and evidence-based positive psychology tools that created the turning point.
Together, we worked not only on budgets, balance sheets, and investment strategies, but also on the stories they told themselves about money. We used visioning exercises to connect with their future selves. We explored character strengths, so their natural perseverance, curiosity, and love of learning became drivers of financial decisions. We reframed negotiation as a skill they could prepare for and excel in. And we anchored every financial choice to values that mattered: peace, joy, independence, and the ability to give back.
The result? Concrete action – taken with confidence.
- One shifted from passive saving to intentional investing, automating contributions and taking ownership of her investor identity.
- The other optimised her portfolio for transparency and efficiency, increased debt repayments strategically, and positioned herself for advanced investment moves.
- Both transformed their approach to income, self-advocacy, and financial resilience.
And perhaps most importantly, both began to speak about money : with themselves, with peers, with family, in ways that felt free, curious, and empowered.
These are not isolated stories. They are living proof of what’s possible when you integrate financial literacy with emotional intelligence, when you combine strategy with mindset, and when you have a safe, expert-led space to explore both.
On 19th August 2025 at 1900 CET, these two women will join us live on LinkedIn to share, in their own words, what shifted for them and how that shift translated into real-world results.
We couldn’t be prouder. And we couldn’t be more grateful to have supported them — and so many other women — on their journeys to financial clarity, confidence, and independence.
The question is: what about you?
Are you ready to make that shift from “someday” to “starting now”?
Join us, listen in, and see what might be possible for you.
Sincerely Yours,
Dr Sophie

Let me share something with you, simply, honestly. I had one of those moments recently. Not a dramatic revelation, more a quiet internal click. The kind that gently rearranges things rather than shaking them apart. I was listening to an interview with a filmmaker, and...
